Caribbean casual doesn’t have to mean dressed-down bar food. Keeping it casual can still be fun, comfortable and classy. Whether you are a private island resort guest or we are your destination for the day during your island-hopping tour, Scrub Island Resort, Spa & Marina offers dining options ranging from gourmet fare to casual dining to satisfy all your Caribbean cravings. Our new Executive Chef, Juan Morrison and his culinary team offer guests refreshing modern Caribbean cuisine with an American twist, prepared with the fresh local and imported ingredients at two superior dining establishments, Caravella and Tierra! Tierra!
Locally here in the British Virgin Islands (B.V.I.) locally grown produce, spices, and fresh caught Caribbean seafood such as Anegada Lobster, Conch and Tuna are our specialty! Each of our culinary offerings are hand-crafted carefully by our chefs using these ingredients from the islands.
Tierra TierraAs a special treat for the sailors, deep sea fishers and charter boaters who decide to dock at Scrub Island, leave all the hassle of cooking to us. Guests are welcome to bring in their fresh catch from the boat and have our Chef prepare it to perfection, just to your liking. Sit back relax, and unwind at any of our open air restaurants with endless views of the Caribbean, along with our five star resort amenities, including our multi-tiered swimming pool (voted the best pool in the B.V.I.), our Pavilion Beach with water trampoline, paddle boards and kayaks, and our marina bathrooms offering fantastic showers and changing rooms. And, don’t forget to make an appointment at Ixora spa for the the ultimate in relaxation. While soaking in the sunset, there’s no reason to “dress” for dinner. Forgo jackets and gowns and come as you are… something we refer to as Private Island Casual!
In addition to breathtaking views of the Caribbean, we are excited to announce some updates to our menu. With the help from Chef Juan we have revamped our Tierra! Tierra! lunch menu to offer more choices for our guests. For lunch we recommend the signature Scrub Grouper Sandwich, fresh blackened grouper on Jamaican coco bread with sofrito sauce and pickled escovitch slaw.
Tierra! Tierra! serves lunch daily from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and dinner from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Be sure to check out our website for specials before your trip and if you would like us to arrange something unique like a private dinner on one of our beaches, please let us know and we can handle that for you.
