BRITISH VIRGIN ISLANDS – Scrub Island Resort, Spa & Marina – the newest luxury private-island resort in the British Virgin Islands – was named one of Travel + Leisure’s 500 World’s Best Hotels for 2015 and ranked eighth World’s Best Family Hotel in the Caribbean in 2014.

The rankings are determined from the results of a reader questionnaire developed by the editors of Travel + Leisure which judges hotels, cities, islands, airlines, tour companies, spas and more. Respondents evaluated hotels on five characteristics, rooms/facilities, location, service, restaurants/food and value, rating each on a five-point scale of excellent, above average, average, below average and poor. Required component ratings were then averaged, creating an overall score.
