Scrub Island Resort, Spa & Marina Hosts The Westport Rendezvous Lunch

Scrub Island Resort, Spa & Marina is excited to have hosted the Westport Rendezvous Lunch as part of the Loro Piana Caribbean Superyacht Regatta & Rendezvous on Friday, March 11. The luncheon was the perfect opportunity for yacht enthusiasts to network with like-minded individuals, while visiting the most beautiful private island in the BVI.

The day began with a convoy of spectacular motor yachts ranging from 80 to 140 feet in length cruising from the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda on Virgin Gorda to Scrub Island.  As each party disembarked, they were greeted with glasses of champagne and white wine, along with passed hors d’oeuvres.   Following the reception on the Grand Patio, guests were escorted up the grand staircase to the resort’s fine dining restaurant, Caravela.  The party then enjoyed a three course menu designed by Executive Chef Scott Vogel, with each course accompanied by a carefully selected wine.

Guests of the event were delighted to learn more about Scrub Island Resort, Spa & Marina’s fabulous amenities including luxury accommodations, world-class Ixora Spa and the many dining choices. And for those who were seeking to buy their own piece of paradise, there was a great deal of interest in the marina village condominiums and the stunning ocean view villas and estate homes.

About the Loro Piana Caribbean Superyacht Regatta & Rendezvous: This prestigious event brings together sail and motor yachts during a four-day event, March 9-12 in the BVI.  Yacht and sailing enthusiasts, owners, families and friends gather together for glamorous events which encompass the main Regatta. The event is organized by the Boat International Media and the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda (YCCS).
