There is no better way to take in Scrub Island’s coastline than from the water. Donovan’s Beach puts you right at the edge of it, with paddle boards available for guests of all levels and calm, clear water stretching out in every direction.
Complimentary kayaks are available at Donovan’s Beach, ready to take you across the calm turquoise stretch between Scrub Island and Great Camanoe. For something more secluded, paddle out to Honeymoon Beach, which is only accessible by water.
Scrub Island’s volcanic terrain rises over 400 feet, and the views from the top are worth every step. Explore 230 acres of indigenous plant life, including the ixora flower and native cacti, and time your summit for sunrise if you can. Snorkeling in the British Virgin Islands doesn’t get much better than the waters surrounding Scrub Island. Donovan’s Beach and North Beach offer easy access to thriving coral and marine life, while Dive BVI’s daily group tours, Anegada trips, and private charters take you further out. Gear rentals are available at their shop in Marina Village.
Scrub Island’s beaches are made for more than lounging. Challenge your travel companions to Giant Jenga, Cornhole, or Giant Connect Four, or gather a group for a match on the beach volleyball court. Good times, better views.
