There are several ways to travel to Scrub Island:
From US: Non-stop flight from Miami (MIA) to Tortola (EIS) via American Airlines.
From Puerto Rico: Non-stop flight from San Juan (SJU) to Tortola (EIS) via Cape Air or interCaribbean Airways.
From Tortola: 10 minute boat ride on the Scrub Island Ferry.

Yes, passports are required to travel to the resort.
Updated Passport Requirements: The Intelligence Reform and Terrorism Prevention Act of 2004 requires that, after January 1, 2008, travelers to and from the BVI have a passport or other secure, accepted document to enter or re-enter the United States. This is a change from prior travel requirements and affects all United States citizens entering the United States from countries within the Western Hemisphere who do not currently possess valid passports. Please note the revised date for passports required for re-entry into the United States from the Caribbean.
Travelers are required to complete an Immigration and Customs Form which will be available 72 hours prior to your arrival in The British Virgin Islands, learn more here.
Visitors from some countries may also require a visa for entry. Upgrading to a suite provides you with double the living space and triple the balcony. In addition, our suites offer a full gourmet kitchen with Wolf ranges, SubZero refrigerators, washers and dryers, and Nespresso Coffee Machines, which all make a stay of 3 or more days a very special experience.

Complimentary Wi-Fi is available in all the rooms and throughout the island. A password will be provided upon check-in.

If coming from the United States, you will not need any adapters. Like the US, the electricity on Scrub Island is 110V / 60Hz. For guests arriving from Europe, adapters are available on the island, though they will not convert voltage.

Washers and dryers are located inside our suites and villas. Laundry detergent and fabric softener are available on-site at the Scrub Island Outpost. Off-island dry cleaning services are available by request.

At Scrub Island Resort, Spa & Marina we love four-legged friends as much as you do! That’s why we’re proud to be a pet-friendly resort, welcoming up to two dogs per reservation. We want to ensure your stay is as enjoyable as possible, so please follow the steps below to bring your beloved dogs along.
Pet Policy Details:
One-Time Fee: A flat fee of $150 is required for each stay.

If you’re traveling from the US or Puerto Rico, please ensure you have all the necessary documentation and comply with the import regulations for bringing pets into the British Virgin Islands.

To ensure the protection of the island’s natural ecosystem, personal vehicles are prohibited. The resort offers a collection of shuttles to take you to and from your villa, to Ixora Spa, or over to the idyllic North Beach.

Donovan’s Beach is home to Scrub Island’s water-based activities—kayaks, stand up paddle boards, snorkeling, and a kid-friendly water trampoline. The North Beach Festival on Wednesday nights provides entertainment for the whole family. Marina Cay offers fun in the sun with a diverse calendar of events. Scrub Island is fringed by three pristine beaches that shelve gently into the Caribbean Sea. The island features protected coves, nature trails and stunning scenery. The land was formed by volcanic activity and is 8,520 feet long — which includes Big Scrub (170 acres) and Little Scrub (60 acres). Big Scrub and Little Scrub are connected by an isthmus. The mountainous island’s highest eastern peak reaches a whopping 438 feet and the highest western peak reaches 313 feet.
While the terrain is steep and not easily accessible for those who are mobility impaired, there are ramps in a number of areas around the resort, including the lower pool. Cardamom & Co. provides an elevator for ease in accessing the restaurant.

Absolutely! There are natural trails ranging from 2.5 miles to .5 miles. In total, Scrub Island is 230 acres with elevations of over 400 feet that provide breathtaking views of the Caribbean Sea and neighboring islands.

The dress code is resort casual. Swimsuits with cover-ups are perfectly acceptable in our dining outlets during daytime hours. In the evening, men will feel comfortable in collared shirts and nice shorts in Cardamom & Co., while our other restaurants are more casual.

There are no ATMs on property. The nearest ATM is located on Tortola, which is a 10-minute complimentary ferry ride and a 10-minute taxi ride away. However, guests may withdraw up to $200 from the front desk with a 4% fee. *Per guest, per day allowance. Also note that any Scrub Island Resort, Spa & Marina charge may be billed to your guest room and paid at check-out.
