Scrub Island Resort, Spa & Marina Voted “Best Resort” by Readers of Virgin Islands Property & Yacht
BRITISH VIRGIN ISLANDS – Scrub Island Resort, Spa & Marina is the proud recipient of the “Best Resort” award from Virgin Islands Property & Yacht magazine’s Readers’ Choice survey. Categories are divided into three sections, including awards for resorts, yachting and restaurants throughout the Virgin Islands. Winners of the 2nd Annual Readers’ Choice Awards were identified through an open-ballot voted on by locals and tourists alike, made available online and through Virgin Islands Property & Yacht social media outlets. In the inaugural survey published in the October 2011 issue, Scrub Island was recognized as having the “Best Resort Pool” and received “Best Marina” mention this year for the number of votes they accumulated.
“This is a genuine honor and a testament to the continued dedication of the staff and management at Scrub Island Resort,” said Martin Smith, Scrub Island Resort, Spa & Marina managing director. “This recognition from the magazine’s readers validates all the hard work and commitment to excellence characterized by our team.”
Opened in July 2010, Scrub Island Resort, Spa & Marina is named after its location, a serene 230-acre private-island haven situated at the east end of Tortola in the British Virgin Islands. The first luxury resort development in the destination in more than 15 years and first member of Marriott’s Autograph Collection in the Caribbean, the resort is tucked into a rugged cliff overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, Caribbean Sea and neighboring uninhabited islands.
