Seven Days on Scrub Island
A week at Scrub Island Resort, Spa & Marina gives you the rare luxury of time in the British Virgin Islands. Time to settle in, explore by sea, and return each evening to a place that feels entirely your own.
Set within the BVI just a 10-minute private ferry ride from EIS airport, this private island resort brings together marina access, waterfront dining, ocean view accommodations, and open Caribbean water in one seamless stay. Here is how a week unfolds.
Insider’s Tips
Upgrade to a suite with a gourmet kitchen, generous living space, washer/dryer, and an oversized private balcony. Traveling with a larger group or family? Consider one of the private villas for added space, multiple bedrooms, and the comfort of gathering under one roof. Upon arrival, stop by the Scrub Island Outpost to stock up on wine, cheese, and snacks for sunset on your balcony.

Day One
You are personally greeted and escorted to Trellis Bay Dock, where the resort’s private ferry departs regularly for Scrub Island. The short cruise past Marina Cay offers your first glimpse of the surrounding cays that make the British Virgin Islands one of the Caribbean’s most celebrated sailing destinations.
Upon arrival, you are welcomed dockside with a cocktail before settling into your guest room, suite, or villa. Take time to wander through Marina Village and visit Harbor Boutique for island essentials or something suited for waterfront dining.
That evening, begin with a private dinner on Donovan’s Beach arranged through the concierge. With sand beneath your feet and the sea just steps away, the setting introduces the relaxed refinement that defines a BVI vacation.
Day Two
Head to North Beach and reserve one of the private tiki-roofed cabanas. Plush loungers, chilled water, fresh fruit, and attentive service from One Shoe Beach Bar & Grill make it easy to spend the afternoon by the water.

Swim, read, or simply enjoy the quiet shoreline that makes a private island resort feel distinct.
In the evening, return to Donovan’s Reef Marina Bar & Grill for open-air waterfront dining overlooking the marina.
If your stay includes a Wednesday, the North Beach Festival brings local food and music directly to the sand.
Day Three
Fuel up over breakfast and dedicate the day to the water.
Marina Cay, just minutes away via the complimentary resort ferry, offers paddleboarding, kayaking, snorkeling, and eFoiling through Up ’n’ Under Watersports. The nearby reefs provide some of the clearest snorkeling in the British Virgin Islands.
For scuba diving or guided island-hopping excursions, Dive BVI offers two-tank dives and full-day explorations to Virgin Gorda, Cooper Island, and Norman Island — a deeper look at the BVI beyond the marina.
Return in time for sunset at the upper infinity pool, overlooking the Caribbean and neighboring cays.
Later, enjoy freshly made pizza from the Scrub Island Outpost before stargazing at Sunset Point atop Little Scrub.
Day Four
Enjoy breakfast on your balcony before joining the Scrub Island History Hike, a guided trek offering panoramic views across the British Virgin Islands and insight into the island’s past.
Cool off afterward at the three-tiered pool, complete with a swim-up bar and waterslide.
For lunch, stop by Donovan’s Reef for a crisp salad, or better yet, enjoy it delivered poolside.
In the evening, enjoy a pre-dinner cocktail or two at Cardamom & Co.’s bar overlooking the marina. The resort’s signature restaurant offers refined dining in an intimate setting that reflects the relaxed atmosphere of this Caribbean marina resort.
After dinner, stroll along the docks where underwater lights illuminate tarpon, rays, and tropical fish as they move through the harbor.
Day Five
Begin with sunrise yoga on the Ixora Spa deck, followed by a massage or spa treatment. For travelers seeking a Caribbean spa retreat within their British Virgin Islands vacation, this is where the pace truly slows.

In the afternoon, set out on the Island Hopper excursion with Dive BVI. This guided boat experience explores some of the British Virgin Islands’ most iconic stops, combining snorkeling, swimming, and time ashore on neighboring islands. It is an effortless way to experience island hopping in the BVI directly from Scrub Island’s marina.
That evening, return to a private beachfront cabana for a candlelit dinner with personalized service and uninterrupted ocean views.
Day Six
Grab a-to-order breakfast sandwich from the Scrub Island Outpost and board a private charter to Anegada, the only coral island in the British Virgin Islands. Known for pale beaches and calm water, Anegada offers a distinct contrast to the volcanic peaks found throughout the rest of the BVI.
Spend the day snorkeling vibrant reefs, walking long stretches of sand, or exploring the island’s unique landscape.

That evening, return to Scrub Island and dine at Cardamom & Co. overlooking the marina. After a full day on Anegada, a well-paced dinner and a glass of wine feel grounding in the best way.
Day Seven
By now, you’ve settled into the pace of the British Virgin Islands.
Spend the morning along the marina as charter yachts come and go, a reminder that Scrub Island sits at the center of one of the world’s premier sailing destinations.
Late morning is ideal for one more water outing, whether snorkeling just offshore, paddleboarding in calm Caribbean waters, or arranging a half-day sail through the surrounding cays.
In the afternoon, return to the infinity pool or revisit North Beach. This is the day to lean into what you have enjoyed most.
For your final evening, begin with a sunset cocktail overlooking the water, followed by dinner at Donovan’s Reef or a private in-suite meal prepared through the concierge. Seven nights in the BVI deserve a thoughtful close.
Day Eight
Ease into your last morning. Before boarding the ferry, take one last walk through Marina Village and Harbor Boutique to find something that feels distinctly Scrub Island, a lasting reminder of your time in paradise.
Whether your British Virgin Islands vacation centered on sailing, snorkeling, spa days, island hopping, or simply slowing down, Scrub Island offers a private island experience that stays with you long after departure.
